On March 25, the Open Day themed on “fulfilling ambitions through starting ventures” under the “Business Elite Learning Program” offered by the College of Business (COB), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) took place on the 369-campus.

 

 

At first, each attending alumni shared a brief self-presentation, and exchanged views preliminarily with participants from such perspectives as entrepreneurial motivation and experience, mental experience, and insights about starting new undertakings. According to them, there has never been the best or the worst entrepreneurial environment; reverse thinking and adventurousness are sometimes the key to get the upper hand by a surprise move; it is important to identify the difference between ventures and investments, for taking ventures is not the only way to wealth; some knowledge on oriental and western philosophies is quite conductive to clarifying the frame of mind for starting ventures.

 

 

Afterwards, white-collars present at the event conversed with the guests on the subject of the latter’s speeches and their own entrepreneurial experience. The guests expressed their views on starting ventures from the preparation and exploration during the earlier days to the development and expansion in the middle of operation; they also offered cogent advices to the white-collars present at the event, who were listening with rapt attention to the sparkling insights of the speakers and their distinctive expressions.

 

In the end, director of the Project Development Center of COB, SUFE, Mr. Gao Minghui, offered the guests and alumni the Letter of Appointment to invite them to be guest mentors for the “Business Elite Learning Program”. At that moment, the audience burst into enthusiastic applause.
