The Book" Collection of Chinese Management Accounting Cases" Released

On May 20th of 2015, the case book Collection of Chinese Management Accounting Cases was released in the ACCA-SNAI Summit jointly held by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Shanghai National Accounting Institute. During the case book launch ceremony in the summit, Ms. Liping Xue, Associate Dean of COB, and Ms. Shuping Liang, Director of Chinese Affairs of ACCA, lighted the launch ball together, and made speeches for the new book release respectively.

As a result of the active cooperation by SUFE and ACCA, the case book focuses on the hot topics in management accounting, makes a vivid description of the real-life problems about management accounting that companies have encountered, illustrates relevant theories and methodologies, and provides room for case users to have further discussions. Professor Shaofei Wang, Assistant Dean and Director of Case Center of COB, acted as the chief editor, and Ms. Shuping Liang from ACCA and Ms. Sizhi Li from COB acted as the deputy chief editors for the case book.

Pioneered by Harvard Business School at the beginning of the 20th century, case teaching soon became successful and was introduced to China in the 1980s. As China’s first institution to have higher business education in accordance with western business school traditions and to introduce ACCA in, SUFE greatly promotes and supports the collection and development of local business cases according to international standards.
