On March 30, a  four-scholar group from Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics including Professor Wang Yugang, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Chen Yuping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business Administration, Professor Wang Haifang, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Business Administration, and Ali Mamatt Turson, Vice Director of the Student Affairs Department and Vice Secretary of the Youth League Committee, visited our school for research works. Xue Liping, Chair of COB Council of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Wei Hang, COB Associate Executive Dean, Xie Jiaping, Visiting Professor of the College of Business, Xie Lin, Director of the Counseling Office of the College of Business, and Liu Songge, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Accreditation of the College of Business, attended the research meeting.

First of all at the meeting, Xue Liping, the Chair of COB Council of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics,  warmly welcomed the visiting researchers Professor Wang Yugang and his team from Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics. She pointed out that the two schools have a long history of cooperation with profound origins and solid foundations. She hoped that the 2.0 version of cooperation between the two sides could enhance the quality of talent cultivation. She also anticipated that we can serve the high-quality socio-economic development of the two regions.

Professor Wang Yugang, the Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, expressed a sincere gratitude to Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for its long-standing trust, support, and assistance to Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics. He pointed out that Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is the origin of business education in China and the first  university for business education in China. It is a reputed institution for training high-quality financial and economic talents. Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics has effectively promoted its higher education by fully utilizing the resources of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics at a win-win  approach. He hopes that the two universities will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to promote the quality development of the two universities.

Wei Hang,  COB Associate Executive Dean, fully recognized the significance of cooperation between the two schools. He pointed out that Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics is located in the northwest inland region, while Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is located in the eastern coastal area. The two schools working together, with a broad coverage, can provide outstanding financial and economic talents for China's economic development. He hopes to continue the path to co-construction and development with Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics. he looks forward to smoother cooperation mechanisms and  result-oriented cooperation  between the two universities.

Xie Jiaping, a visiting professor of COB, shared his ideas on the discipline construction and talent cultivation of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics based on his experience in Xinjiang over times.
