Congratulations to us, we made it! Give ourselves a round of applause, please! We are the vanguard of knowledge and consciousness, a new wave in the vast ocean of possibilities.
I started my career as a staff of an Accountant, I dreamt of building up the professionalism – therefore I spent 5 years to achieve the credit of ACCA and another 5 years for a Fellowship. When I stood outside of the classroom in SUFE in the campus of Guo Ding Road, at that time I was reading my notes and preparing my last paper, I was a little bit absent-minded, I wished I myself would be back to SUFE to truly listen to the professor’s coaching and teaching. The dream luckily came true. Just before right now I present here, I dreamt again - 10 year later from now I will stand here again as the role of a regional CFO to give a speech.
We grow up, the dreams also grow up. On the other side of the door, there is a world starving for new ideas, new leadership, and your dream which is in front of us, is waiting for us to realize.
Looking back to last summer, when we were still puzzled what attitude should we choose and which way should we go through in this period of the journey of our life, when we were still obsessed with the meaning of an MBA from time to time, the burning time already pull us running forward straight away. We cannot stop it! We gave up the holidays with family, we chose the way settled down to study cases, repeated study and thinking day and night, we didn't fear for failure and tried our courage. Moreover, better students always do more than average people. Sunny, a pregnant mother overcame the pregnancy reaction, achieved the highest CAPSIM score. Paige, she still needed to take care of her child during her exchange study in US. Life is far more difficult than imagination. It depends on what we are looking for and how we can choose between love or fear when the moment of confronting the difficulties.
We can spend our whole life imagining monster, worrying about our pathway to the future, but all there will ever be is what's happening here and the decisions we make in this moment, which are based on either love or fear. We can fail at what we don't want, so we might as well take a chance on doing what we love.
Without your fame and wealth, without any glory round you then who are you? What are you going to talk to your kids and what are you going to say to yourselves about this journey? Everyone has your distinctive answers. But exactly you have been ahead of the game. You already know who you are from your inner peace that you are looking for something beyond personality. You need the acceptance which can make yourself not invisible in this world.
Life is not an easy formula, one plus one equals to 2. Instead, life is full of color and life is full of challenges. The colors and challenges are crossing each other to compose the unique elements for ourselves.
May today ends the past year on a cheerful note and makes way for a fresh and bright new year. I wish you all the best and happy new year!
