The Cathay Energy-tech team was established in 2019. It is jointly established by Cathay & three Fortune 500 companies (TotalEnergies, Air Liquide, and CMA CGM) and is the first RMB fund with new energy + carbon neutrality as the main investment thesis. The fund mainly invests in growth-stage enterprises with high growth potential & technical barriers.

Position

✓ Investment Intern - Cathay Smart Energy

Responsibilities

• Providing ongoing analytical support throughout the deal lifecycle, duty may include but is not limited to market research, financial modelling, meeting with corporate & industry seniors. etc.

• Collect relevant data and information, can conduct research & prepare supporting documents

• Coordinate and utilize various support services; support the team to oversee daily admin

• Assist in other project support upon request from Cathay Global

Requirements

• Interest in the new energy, cleantech, renewables and sustainability sector

• 1-2 years of experience in financial services, preferably in an investment setting (industrial experience within the broader new energy-related technology is a plus)

• Strong analytical and computer skills; solid Excel and PowerPoint skills required for extensive data sorting, filtering, and presenting

• Delivery-focused with a strong bias for action

• Strong multi-tasking ability, highly organized with an eye for detail with ability to manage and prioritize workloads

• The duration must last for almost 6 months.

• Fluent in English, able to work with overseas teams

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver before deadline.

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, integrating tact and diplomacy.

• Strong self-starter, self-confident and highly motivated.

• Detail-oriented and can-do attitude.

Compensation Plan

• RMB150~200/day

• OT meal reimbursements
