Faculty and students from College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics visited G60 Science and Technology Innovation Group

Faculty and students from the College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics visited Shanghai Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Economic Development Group Limited for an exchange visit. Professor Lin Nan, a member of the college's party committee and director of the Department of Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, represented the faculty in discussions with leaders from relevant departments of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Group. Ms. Zhou Siwen, Deputy Secretary of the Second Party Branch of the College of Business from the Office of Cooperation and Development, as well as more than 50 faculty and students from various branches, departments, and projects of the college, attended the event.


At the beginning of the event, under the reception of staff from the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Economic Development Group, faculty and students from the College of Business arrived at the conference room of the G60 project for interactive exchanges. Upon watching the group's latest promotional video, attendees gained a preliminary understanding of the group's development history. Subsequently, Wang Tong, General Manager of the Science and Technology Development Department of G60 Science and Technology Innovation Group, provided a detailed introduction to the origin of the company's name, the background of its establishment, and an overview of the group's development to the attending faculty and students. In line with the background of national and Shanghai urban planning, the group is dedicated to constructing and operating high-quality, sustainable integrated demonstration areas for industry and urban living, as well as digital industrial communities, aiming to contribute to the implementation of the country's medium- to long-term strategic plans and promote regional high-quality development.


Next, Professor Lin Nan shared the significance of the "China-style Modernization" series of practical activities from the perspective of entrepreneurship management and other related disciplines. By focusing on the development of science and technology innovation enterprises, participants gained an understanding that the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in the Yangtze River Delta is a primary source of innovation, a gathering place for high-end industries, an acceleration zone for science and technology innovation enterprises, and a preferred destination for innovative talents. It is hoped that by strengthening future collaboration between academia and industry, complementary resources and resonance can be achieved leveraging the respective strengths and resources of both parties, and promoting in-depth, substantive, and extensive cooperation in production, education and research.

Later, Yu Lei, the General Manager of the Audit Management Center at G60 Science and Technology Innovation Group and an alumnus from the class of 1996, provided guidance and shared insights on the development prospects and employment directions of science and technology innovation enterprises, addressing the concerns of the students. He encouraged the students to find their personal career development direction in their interests, to accumulate experience, develop abilities, and maintain the motivation to continuously learn during their professional careers.

After the discussion, faculty and students from the College of Business proceeded to the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor Planning Exhibition Hall, where they gained detailed understanding of the displayed advanced production achievements in various fields such as biomedicine, new energy vehicles, integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence. They deeply understood the in-depth integration of science and technology with industry and felt the charm of science and technology as the primary productive force, recognizing the importance of improving the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements.
