a delegation from the School of Applied Economics at Renmin University of China, including Vice Dean Professor Pei Jiansuo, Professor Zhou Wenji, and Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Zhang Nan, visited our School for a research exchange. The purpose of the visit was to gain in-depth insights into our School's advanced practices and experiences in the development of part-time professional master's degree programs, with the aim of furthering enhancing the educational quality of similar programs at Renmin University. The visitors were warmly received by COB Associate Dean Sun Qi and Ding Haoyuan, along with Xu Songwei, Executive Director of the MBA Center, and Chen Xi, Director of the iMBA Program Office. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics related to part-time professional master's degree programs, such as admissions, curriculum design, quality control of dissertations, and educational services.

At the beginning of the meeting, COB Associate Dean Sun Qi extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the School of Applied Economics at Renmin University of China. He then shared insights on how the School of Business effectively identifies and recruits prospective students. He discussed strategies for targeting ideal candidates and expanding the recruitment channels and emphasized key considerations in the admissions process. Associate Dean Sun also provided a detailed overview of the curriculum structure for the professional master’s programs. Furthermore, he discussed the development of internship bases, advanced practices for the establishment of a case study repository, and the integration of international elements into the programs.

COB Associate Dean Ding Haoyuan offered valuable suggestions regarding teaching methods. He advocated for maximizing the use of university resources by engaging high-caliber faculty members from various disciplines within the academic field and involving them extensively in course delivery. This approach aims to enhance teaching quality and provide students with a superior educational experience.
