2022 International Economics Research Frontier Summer training was successfully held

The International Economics Research Frontier Summer Training was an annual academic event held by the Department of World Economy and Trade in the School of Business at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and has been held for 13 consecutive years. The purpose of this event remains to invite leading scholars from international economics to introduce the recent research trends in the diverse fields of international economics to young scholars and doctoral students in China.

On June 18, 2022, the opening day of the training program, Professor Kiminori Matsuyama from Northwestern University delivered a lecture entitled “Non-CES Demand Systems: A Guided Tour.”

On June 19, 2022, the second day of the program, Professor David Baqaee , presented a talk on “Aggregation of Disaggregated Open Economies.”

After that, Professor Horst Raff from Kiel University in Germany delivered a lecture entitled “The Role of Inventory in International Trade and Global Supply Chains.”

The last speaker in this session was Laura Alfaro, a Professor at Harvard University. She made a speech on the topic of “Currency Hedging: Managing Cash-flow Exposure.”
