From October 10th to 12th, the 10th General Assembly of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference, as well as the 10th Anniversary Meeting of the Conference's establishment, was held at the Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Over 400 representatives from more than 200 Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and programs across the country attended the conference.

Earlier this year, the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference conducted the relevant selection process, which included nominations from member institutions and the Joint Conference Secretariat, and review by the Presidium. On October 11, 2024, during the 10th anniversary meeting of the Joint Conference, certificates were awarded to the winning institutions and individuals by Zhao Yanzhi, President of Shenyang University and Chairman of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference.

At this annual conference, Professor Wei Hang, COB Council Chair, was honored with the "Special Contribution Award for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education" by the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference. This award recognizes the achievements and contributions made by Professor Wei and the College's iMBA program in promoting the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education, enhancing educational quality, and facilitating international exchange and collaboration in recent years.

The College of Business at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics is dedicated to its mission of " cultivating business talent, innovating business research, empowering business practices, and promoting business civilization." By organizing high-quality Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, the College strengthens its exchanges and collaborations with foreign educational institutions. This approach allows it to absorb advanced educational concepts from around the world and introduce quality educational resources, thereby laying a solid foundation for advancing the construction of a strong education nation.

The Master of Business Administration (iMBA) program, a collaborative program between Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Webster University in the United States, was established in 1996 with approval from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the earliest nine Sino-foreign cooperative MBA degree education programs approved by the Ministry of Education. The program aims to cultivate versatile business leaders with a global perspective and cross-cultural management skills. Over nearly 30 years of operation, the program has trained more than 3,000 outstanding graduates from both China and abroad, making significant contributions to the country’s economic development and establishing itself as one of the most influential international MBA programs in China. In 2001, it was awarded the "National Level Excellent Teaching Achievement Second Prize" by the Ministry of Education; in 2002, it received the "First Prize for Teaching Achievement" in Shanghai; and in 2016, it was recognized as a "Commended Program" in the " Second Selection of Demonstrative Sino-Foreign Cooperative Educational Institutions (Projects) in Shanghai."

The College of Business actively supports and encourages innovative reforms within the iMBA program, aligning with the nation's strategic talent needs. It recognizes the political attributes of Sino-foreign cooperative MBA projects and strengthens the leadership of the Party as well as the ethical construction of faculty. The College continuously explores and practices a Sino-foreign cooperative MBA educational model and new pathways rooted in China's national conditions, addressing the new demands for high-quality business talent cultivation in the context of a new era and a new economy.
