Recently, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a globally renowned academic ranking agency, released the 2025 QS Global EMBA Rankings. The EMBA program of College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was ranked 121st–130th globally and 17th in the Asia-Pacific region.

As the ninth edition of the QS Global EMBA Rankings, this evaluation is based on key indicators such as employer reputation, career outcomes, thought leadership, executive profile, and class diversity. These metrics assess the program’s global recognition among global employers and academia, evaluate the level of managerial experience among students, and take into account graduates’ salary increases and career advancement. Additionally, the rankings examine diversity in terms of gender and international representation, thereby providing a comprehensive evaluation of the overall quality of the EMBA programs.

Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) launched its EMBA program in 2002. As one of the first institutions in China to offer EMBA education, SUFE has consistently embraced change and carved out a distinctive path in advanced business education. Guided by the mission of moral education and value-driven leadership, the program has cultivated a large number of outstanding entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders who move in step with the times, contributing to national socioeconomic development. The program is accredited by AMBA and the China Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA), while the College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics also holds prestigious AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. Today, SUFE EMBA capitalizes on the university’s academic strengths and leverages the College of Business as a platform to integrate premier domestic and international educational resources, alongside a powerful alumni network. With the strategic focus of optimizing industrial chains, the program breaks down internal industry silos and cross-sector boundaries, addressing the needs of the times. It is particularly focused on solving three core challenges faced by EMBA participants: innovation and entrepreneurship, business growth, and personal development as entrepreneurs. In doing so, it is creating a “new ecosystem” for business education and strives to fulfill its goal of cultivating business leaders with deep financial and economic acumen.
