Delegation from the Graduate School of Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences Visits SUFE COB

A delegation headed by Zhong Xin, Vice Dean (presiding over administrative work) of the Graduate School of  Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, visited  College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for research and exchanges. The two sides held a symposium at the college’s conference room to conduct in-depth discussions on all facets of graduate education and administration. The event was presided over by Wang Ti, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Business.

Wang Ti extended a sincere welcome to the visiting guests. He introduced the college’s development journey, disciplinary layout, talent training system and graduate education management, demonstrating its profound accumulation and innovative practices in business education.

Zhong Xin then elaborated on his institution’s practices in postgraduate training, disciplinary development and student management. He stated that the visit was intended to draw on the advanced experience and proven practices of the College of Business in graduate education. He expressed the hope that both sides could learn from each other through thorough communication and jointly drive the high-quality development of postgraduate education.

During the symposium, the two parties conducted frank exchanges and shared insights on core topics. These included the curriculum development for professional degree students, the implementation of scenario-based and case teaching, the operating mechanism of the dual-tutor system and university-enterprise joint training models, tutor management and the optimization of faculty-student ratios, as well as differentiated training for academic and professional degree postgraduates.

Furthermore, the two sides exchanged views on a variety of other issues: tapping alumni resources to facilitate teaching and employment services, class administration and the development of Party and League organizations, innovative initiatives for ideological and political education, team building for counselors and mental health counselors, scholarship schemes for new students, mental health crisis intervention systems, tailored career guidance and employment support, the design and compilation of teaching cases, and the development of institution-specific examination question banks for postgraduate programs.

Attendees from the Graduate School of Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences were Liu Xia, Wu You and Jiang Yun from the Degree Office, Lan Tu from the Admissions and Career Services Office, together with student representatives Wang Zili, Li Mengfan, Zhou Xuewei and Luo Bingqian.

Representatives from College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics included Xu Songwei, Executive Director of the MBA Center; Gao Sida, Executive Director of the Master and Doctoral Training Office; Xie Lin, Director of the Student Affairs Office; Yu Liang, Director of the Career Development Office; and Wang Qingsong, Director of MBA Training and Degree Programs.
