A Delegation from the School of Business at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Visits SUFE COB

A delegation from the School of Business at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, including Vice Deans Zeng Chuhong and Han Xiaohua, Party Committee Deputy Secretary Shen Changxia, Director of the E-Commerce Department Shen Zhonghua, Deputy Director of the Graduate Office Sun Yujiao, Director of the Innovation Class Teaching and Research Office Qu Yingying, and Academic Affairs Secretary Lu Wenjie, visited our college. Wei Hang, Chair of COB Council at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, warmly welcomed the guests. Also in attendance were Gao Sida, Executive Director of the Master and Ph.D Programs Office, and Su Haihong, Deputy Executive Director of the Undergraduate Programs Office.

Council Chair Wei Hang first extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the School of Business at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He proceeded to introduce the development history, vision and mission, international accreditation rankings, as well as discipline construction achievements of College of Business of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He emphasized that the College's current mission is to contribute to China’s modernization and development. He also expressed hope for future collaborative efforts to deepen cooperation between the two institutions.

Vice Dean Zeng Chuhong expressed gratitude for the College’s warm reception and provided a brief overview of the School of Business at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, including its academic programs, talent cultivation, social services, and development characteristics. He highlighted that the visit aimed to explore paths to high-quality development, draw valuable insights to set more ambitious development goals, and expressed hope to establish a dialogue mechanism and engage in relevant collaboration with our college.

During the exchange meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and shared experiences on key topics such as fostering faculty research enthusiasm, building effective incentive mechanisms, optimizing undergraduate talent cultivation pathways, advancing internationalization strategies, enhancing students' employment competitiveness, and strengthening teaching and student management systems. This fruitful exchange not only showcased the unique strengths and features of both institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future collaborations.
